It’s cold outside and sometimes it can be difficult to explain to our little friends why it is important to wear our winter gear outside to keep our bodies warm. Here’s a little tune that can be used to go with identifying which clothing to wear outside, where it goes, and why we wear them. Enjoy!

“Winter Gear” (Sung to the tune of “Did you ever see a Lassie”)

Have you ever seen a RED hat, a RED hat, a RED hat?
Have you ever seen a RED hat that keeps our head warm.

Repeat except instead of singing “RED hat” you replace it with the color of clothing your child has and item of clothing you are talking about. Don’t forget to change the lyrics at the end to associate with the article of clothing i.e. snow pants/legs, snow boots/feet, scarf/neck etc.!
