Germs on My Fingers

Need a little help teaching your friends how to wash their hands? Why not put a little dance to it?

Germs on my Fingers by Tuned Into Learning is a great song to have fun with the actions of washing your hands. You can see it in action below!

Here’s how we do it!

I got germs on my fingers, I got germs on my fingers, I got germs on my fingers!
What am I supposed to do? (As you’re standing shake your hands in the air)
Get them off! Get them off! Get them off! Get them off! Tell those germs to GET LOST! (Marching feet)
(Stop bodies)

Washing hands step 1:

Turn on the water (pretend to turn on the water, careful not to get it too hot, and wiggle fingers and arms under the pretend water)

Washing hands step 2:

I put soap on my hands (pretend to pump the from the dispenser with both hands)

Washing hands step 3:

I rub my hands together (Wiggle entire body as you rub your hands together, pretending to get as many bubbles as possible on the tops of both hands, underneath, and in between your fingers).

Washing hands step 4:

I dry my hands (pretend to rinse your hands under the water, turn off the water, grab your paper towels/towels and dry your hands. Don’t forget to throw the towel away!)

Then for the remainder of the song you do the “my hands are clean” dance. Come up with the goofiest dance move you know and let go!
